This problem may occur due to improper operation of the washing machine, an incorrectly selected washing mode, or low-quality detergent.

If the housewife didn’t have time and left wet towels in the basket for a long time, an environment suitable for the reproduction of microorganisms could form, causing an unpleasant odor.

Common baking soda can help eliminate it. It has sorbent and disinfectant properties. Soda will absorb the stench and destroy the bacteria that caused it.

Plus, the towels will become soft and lovely to the touch.

First, wash the towels the usual way. The second wash is done by adding 30-40 grams (1 – 1.4 oz) of sodium bicarbonate into the powder compartment.

Select a heavy-duty cycle of cotton items at a temperature of at least 60 °C (140°F). The result will pleasantly surprise you.
