Kenmore is an American company with the principle "Maximum functionality at the minimum price" laid down in its product. Apart from refrigerators, Kenmore manufactures other appliances as well. Nowadays, the Kenmore trademark covers washing machines, cleaning systems, sewing machines, and other equipment popular among Americans since 1913.

Kenmore has been gaining momentum as the most popular home appliance brand in the USA.
In the 70s-90s, the Sears company continued the vector of development that started back in the 40s — manufacturing of home appliances under the Kenmore trademark. In 1971, American consumers got acquainted with Kenmore microwave ovens and compact cleaners. The company extended the production workshop of sewing machines and started to make them fully automated.

The traditional "Cheap & Quality" strategy of the company paid off once again: Kenmore home appliances got booming popularity. In 1984, Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher series was awarded an honorary title "The Best Dish Washing Machine of America". The biggest US business publishers marked Kenmore appliances as one of the bestsellers in the USA, while it was a hands-down winner among vacuum cleaner manufacturers, even with Hoover left behind.

In the 90s, the first refrigerators under Kenmore brand were manufactured. It’s worth noting that the Sears company was thoroughly preparing for Kenmore refrigerator production. Kenmore fridges had to incorporate all achievements in the refrigerator industry of that time and still remain in the lower price range.

In 1993, the company presented a fridge series called Super Efficient Refrigeration that consumed 29% less energy than required by federal standards, had a 5-year warranty, and was much cheaper than any similar model. Kenmore refrigerator sales in America were growing rapidly.

In 1995, an independent research of the home appliance market demonstrated that 60% of all US citizens prefer Kenmore appliances to any other brand. Such a tremendous success allows Sears to remain an independent company to this day.

Nowadays, Sears focuses on washing machine and refrigerator manufacturing. These two global areas make the company profitable and famous. In 2000, the Kenmore Elite refrigerator series was presented, combining the best features of major American and European refrigerator manufacturers. However, they’re not cheap appliances anymore. Kenmore Elite refrigerators are manufactured specifically for the WASP class.

Nowadays, the Kenmore model range includes eight standard refrigerator series: refrigerators with top (bottom) freezers, side-by-side refrigerators without a freezer, built-in refrigerators, in-corner refrigerators, ice generators, and freezer chests.

The top-ranked fridge models also have a built-in dispenser with filters that purifies, cools down and gasifies water at the same time. A sensor control panel allows to control the temperature inside separate sections of the refrigeration compartment. Fridges are equipped with a special safety system that notifies about voltage fluctuations and an untight fridge (for example, if the door is open).
